Whole Woman Conference at Kerr Lake
How the 'Whole Woman Conference' was started
The Whole Woman Conference is a result of God's work in and through a number of
women. It all began in 2005 when, after hearing Carolyn Smith share her music
ministry, Jane Lyon told Carolyn of her dream to have a Woman's Conference on
the lake in Clarksville. Jane's deep desire and firm belief being that women
everywhere need and long for time/space to 'come aside' for rest, refreshment
and renewal. And that when we take time to come aside, God will meet us and
minister to us. Jane and Carolyn invited women from various denominations and
groups to join them in praying, planning and organizing; and in January 2006,
the first annual Whole Woman Conference was held. |
